WHAT IS DEEP WAVE HAIR?

Before we give you the best routine for maintaining your deep wave hair, we though it’s important to first expand on what deep wave hair is.

Deep waver hair, or as some know it by, Brazilian deep wave hair, is virgin human hair and it is known for blending well with ethnic natural hair textures. Deep wave hair is available in different types including wavy, straight and curly. Some of the reasons why women do love the deep wave hair look is because it has the ability to hold style for long periods of time. With a quality deep wave hair wig, it can last 12 months, or more.

In this blog post we will talk specifically about maintaining your deep wave curly hair.

Deep wave hair — or Brazilian deep wave hair — is a popular kind of virgin human hair that is known for blending well with ethnic natural hair textures. It comes in various types such as straight, wavy, and curly. With different styling techniques, it has the ability to hold style for long periods of time.

Women enjoy deep wave hair because it brings the shiny fullness that so many of us desire. With the proper care, your deep wave hair will typically last at least 12 months (maybe longer!).

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

First of all, you need a deep wave wig. Here at Sassy LA we have real human hair deep wave wigs. Have a look at our online wig store.

Second, you’ll need a spray bottle with water in it. You’ll also need some wet and wavy conditioner and moisturizer. You can get one at most beauty supply stores. The moisturizer will leave your hair feeling soft and define the curls on your deep wave wig.

You will also need a brush and a towel.

WHERE TO START

Now, start off by fully brushing your hair out. After a few minutes of brushing your hair out,

place the towel from your back with the ends draping down your shoulders. This will keep the water and moisturizing conditioner from getting on your clothes.

Now, section your hair out and wet it per section and either come the sections as you wet them or you can run your fingers through them to get the deep wave wig untangled.

As you spray the water on your deep wave hair, keep in mind that you don’t want to soak it. You want to dampen it to make it easier to brush or run your fingers through. And be sure to wet the top of your hair as well.

Note, if you use your fingers be sure to run it all the way through the hair.

NEXT STEP TO MAINTAIN YOUR DEEP WAVE HAIR

Now, on to the moisturizer. Depending on the quality of your moisturizer, you may use a little more or a little less. But generally squeezing a quarter size portion into your hands will be enough.

After squeezing the moisturizer into one of your hands, you want to gently rub both of your hands together, lightly. Then you gently run your hands through your deep wave hair from the top of the hair down. After doing so through your whole hair, you’re done.

CONCLUSION

That’s all there is to it. To recap, you need a spray bottle, water and hair moisturizer. Follow the instructions aforementioned and you will be on your way to keeping your deep wave hair looking beautiful and maintained.

Remember, deep wave hair is human hair, therefore take care of it as your own. If you want to bleach your deep wave wig be sure to have a professional do it. Bleaching and processing can do harm to the hair and that is why we strongly recommend that you see a professional if it’s something you want to do to your hair wig.

Take care of your hair wig by investing time and the necessary resources and you’ll love how sleek and shiny it’ll look.

BONUS: HOW TO MAINTAIN YOUR DEEP WAVE HAIR WHILE YOU SLEEP

Some of our pointers for maintaining your deep wave hair as you sleep is to not use cotton pillowcases and sheets. The reason is because they may undo the natural gloss of your waves. We suggest that when you lay down or go to sleep that you use a silk scarf or use a silk pillow to keep your hair shielded all around.

You may even want to use your silk scarf while you exercise or if your working outdoors. The difference it’ll make will surprise you.
